The table is set and
the room is aglow
The candles burn brightly
in reverence to show
A blessing far greater
we don't understand
Is ours as we gather
our hearts and our hands.

Together we join here
in this special place
At the end of a year
in the loving embrace
Sought throughout trials,
through every reform
And still its devotion
keeps us safe and warm.

Though we may wander
and go our own ways
Still we carry with us
through all of our days
The memories, the blessings
and all that we know
Is shared with our loved ones
who journey back home.

Though each year is different
still it remains
A coming together
of families again,
For the table is set
and the room is aglow,
As we gather this season
for Christmas at home.
