Sorrow may be yours to bear
But we as sisters come to share
In the grief that now bestows
Thoughts of having to let go....
Memories replay in your mind
Of another place and time,
Now heartfelt tears are in the eyes
Of loved ones somehow left behind....
Although we do not comprehend
Why a life comes to an end
We can only seek to offer you
A tender hand to see you through....
For we as sisters here remain
Beside you now throughout your pain,
Your sorrow is but ours to share
With tenderness and loving care.
"I wrote this sympathy poem for the WOSIB group I'm in, as an expression of love and care we have for our "sisters" and friends when they endure the loss of a loved one."
