I remember looking in his eyes and wanting one last time To feel his arms around me and to touch his lips to mine. I remember being so in love I thought it would never end But the dreams and empty promises soon left us only friends. I remember all the happiness we had shared together The dreams we had that one day we'd be joined in love forever. I remember the intensity with which my heart did yearn At the very thought or touch and dreams of him discerned. I remember that first love and how I thought I'd die The day the world shattered for me when I had to say goodbye.
